ANANDO AT A GLANCE

ANANDO is a non-profit, non-political, and non-governmental development organization headquartered in Dhaka, Bangladesh.The organization began its journey in 1996 and was formally registered on 16 April 1996 under the Department of Social Services in accordance with the Societies Registration Act of 1860. It subsequently obtained registration with the NGO Affairs Bureau under the Prime Minister’s Office on 18 August 1996 to receive foreign donations. ANANDO was later registered with the Microcredit Regulatory Authority on 14 May 2008.Since its inception, ANANDO has remained committed to improving the lives of vulnerable and marginalized communities through sustainable development initiatives. The organization promotes climate-resilient and sustainable livelihoods, with strategic focus on enterprise development, peacebuilding, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), food and nutrition security, vocational skills development, and gender equality.
